Development of a large-area, light-weight module using the MALTA monolithic pixel detector

چکیده

The MALTA pixel chip is a 2 cm × large monolithic detector developed in the Tower 180 nm imaging process. contains four CMOS transceiver blocks at its sides which allow chip-to-chip data transfer. power pads are located mainly side edges on allows for transmission. has been used to study module assembly using different interconnection techniques transmit and from minimise overall material budget. Several 2-chip 4-chip modules have assembled standard wire bonding, ACF (Anisotropic Conductive Films) laser reflow techniques. These proceedings will summarise experience with performance tests of 4 chips tested cosmic muon telescope. They also show first results effect serial as well impact mechanical tests. Finally, conceptual flex based ultra-light weight minimum interconnections presented.
